Dr. James “Trés” Stefurak is a Professor of Counseling Psychology and Associate Dean at the University of South Alabama. As a licensed psychologist and the producer of the “Sincerely, South” podcast, and a 20-year clinical and research partner of the Mobile County juvenile court and adjacent organizations, Dr. Stefurak is deeply committed to exploring human development and community well-being. He is excited to speak with the Mobile Downtown Rotary Club about the modern “loneliness epidemic.” Approaching the issue from a mental health framework, his presentation will examine the root causes of our current social disconnection and share actionable strategies that civic leaders can use to foster meaningful belonging.
