Jeff Sessions is a distinguished attorney and politician who has spent over four decades in public service to the citizens of Alabama.  Senator Sessions was born and raised in Hybart, Alabama.  He is an Eagle Scout, graduate of Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama (1969), and earned his juris doctorate from the University of Alabama School of Law (1973).   Senator Sessions served in the U.S. Army Reserve from 1973 to 1986, attaining the rank of captain. Senator Sessions was appointed by President Ronald Reagan as the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Alabama serving from 1981-1993 and further served as the Alabama Attorney General, the state’s chief legal officer, from 1995 – 1997.  Senator Sessions represented Alabama for 20 years as its U.S. Senator from 1997 to 2017, serving as a senior member of the Judiciary, Armed Services, and Budget Committees.  Most recently, Senator Sessions served as U.S. Attorney General (2017–2018).  While honored to have served the people of Alabama, he is most proud of his wife, Mary, their 3 children, and their 10 grandchildren.
