Rotary Club of Mobile partners with Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Alabama to provide “Little Free Libraries” at 17 area elementary schools in Mobile and Baldwin counties. Rotary members build and install the libraries at schools selected by Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Alabama. The libraries provide books for the students to checkout any time. At these libraries, the child can keep the books forever! Periodically the Rotary Club of Mobile asks its members for donations of books appropriate to the ages of the students.
During 2020 to meet the increased demand for food and other necessities, Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Alabama turned the libraries into “Blessing Boxes” with food for neighborhood children.
If you would be willing to help build a Little Free Library or donate books for a local school, please contact Aimee Risser at BGBS/SA (251) 344-0536 or aimee@bbbssa.org.
