We are one of the oldest and largest Rotary Clubs in the world! We were founded in 1914, only 9 years after Rotary was born. Our club started with 34 charter members, but today has almost 300 members. We hope that the information provided in this site is helpful to you.    




Little Free Libraries for Schools – A Rotary Club of Mobile Initiative

The Rotary Club of Mobile has expanded reading in the region’s neighborhoods with the initiative known as “Little Free Library.”  (www.littlefreelibrary.org) A partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters and Rotary Club of Mobile, 10 libraries have been produced, six of which have been placed at area elementary schools with three others to be placed at schools before the summer’s end.

Rotary partners with Big Brothers Big Sisters and Regions bank

Mobile Downtown Rotary partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters and Regions bank to provide little free libraries for the elementary schools served by BBBS and keep the libraries stocked with books for the students. Frank Lott handles construction, Aimee Risser deals with the schools, Rick Harvey maintains and solicits books, Elizabeth Stephens is Chairman and Ken Niemeyer coordinates. Bring books
